JADÉ
FADOJUTIMI

LONDON'S VIBRANT COLORIST

ABOUT JADÉ FADOJUTIMI

PERSONAL BACKGROUND AND CREATIVE EXPLORATION

Jadé Fadojutimi is a notable figure in London’s art scene, renowned for dynamic and immersive paintings. At 27, Jadé became the youngest artist to have work in the Tate’s collection, an achievement that highlights a significant artistic journey and vision. Jadé’s art is a conversation with color, shape, and emotion, where each stroke and hue reveals the inner world and experiences.

Growing up in Ilford, East London, Jadé nurtured a deep connection with color, influenced by various cultural stimuli, including a passion for anime. This interest has not only shaped Jadé’s aesthetic sensibilities but also offered a distinct perspective through which identity and emotions are explored and expressed in the art.

Jadé’s studio serves as a sanctuary for engaging with large-scale canvases, amidst objects of inspiration, including soft toys from Japan, Victorian-era chairs, and patterned dresses. These elements, along with the energetic soundtracks of anime, drive the creative process, allowing Jadé to “breathe onto the canvas” and produce art that resonates on both personal and universal levels.

Jadé’s artwork, known for its vivid colors and dynamic forms, draws viewers into an introspective world. Each piece reflects thoughts, memories, and the fluctuating landscape of emotions. Works like “Cavernous Resonance” and “The Curtain Drops” showcase Jadé’s skill in blending abstraction with figurative elements, creating scenes that fluctuate between reality and imagination.

“Cavernous Resonance” envelops the viewer in a dynamic array of colors, while “The Curtain Drops” delves into a depth-filled abyss of color, where oil pastel and paint interact to evoke mystery and depth.

ARTIST STATEMENT

A DIALOGUE WITH COLOR AND EMOTION

“In my art, I explore the rich tapestry of my experiences, memories, and the profound connection I have with color. My paintings are more than visual expressions; they are windows into my soul, diaries of my life’s journey. Each canvas is a narrative, woven with the threads of my identity, my passions, and my reflections on the world.

Through my work, I invite the viewer to embark on a journey of exploration and introspection, to find moments of clarity and resonance within the layers of paint and emotion. My art is an open invitation to share in the beauty and complexity of the human experience, as seen through the lens of my vibrant and ever-evolving palette.”
