ABOUT JÉRÔME OUDOT "TRËZ"

PERSONAL BACKGROUND AND CREATIVE APPROACH

Jérôme “Trëz” Oudot, a distinguished 40-year-old artist from Paris, France, excels in the convergence of traditional and digital art. With a foundation in digital arts, Jérôme, also known in the artistic community as “Trëz,” began his journey as a CGI artist for 3D animation films. His artistic repertoire expanded significantly after his first exhibition in 2009 at the Materia Prima Art Factory in Maxéville, Eastern France, which marked a turning point in his career.

Educated in CGI, Trëz is a prolific creator who employs a myriad of techniques including graphite, charcoal, black chalk drawing, acrylic painting, collage, photomontage, and digital painting. His work is a testament to his ability to blend traditional and modern techniques, creating captivating pieces that explore the human condition, identity, and the complexities of the mind and body.

Trëz’s art is deeply influenced by a variety of cultural elements, drawing from neo-expressionism to dark surrealism. His creations often reflect a fascinating interplay between the organic and the geometrical, delving into themes of self-exploration, mortality, and the human experience.

ARTIST STATEMENT

EXPLORING THE DEPTHS OF HUMANITY AND ART

“In my art, I seek to navigate the intricate layers of the human experience, probing into our deepest fears, aspirations, and the very essence of what it means to be human. My creative process is a dance between the tangible and the virtual, where I blend traditional techniques with digital innovation to create pieces that invite introspection and dialogue.

The themes of identity, self-exploration, and the human psyche are central to my work, as I aim to unveil the complexities beneath our exterior facade. My art is a reflection of my philosophical inquiries, a visual representation of my thoughts on existence, mortality, and the perpetual quest for understanding.

Music, especially ambient, plays an integral role in my creative process, serving as a conduit to deeper realms of creativity and disconnection. This synergy of sound and visual art is crucial, guiding me to a place where intuition and technique converge, allowing my artistic vision to unfold.”
